The Internal Compass

I've named this blog Earning Turns for a reason: You are the only one that can get you to where you want to be in life. You make your own decisions that have their own reprucussions. You get out of it what you put in; you reap the harvest you sew, etc. And I'm coming to face the stark reality of it, as even small decisions can pop up later.  I've had alot of things snowball for me as of the last 6 months. Mostly missed oppurtunities of my own fault, as I often get caught up in the romance of my planned future. My last few years have been planned out as finishing school and moving back to the Promised Land and getting back into the job I left to finish school. But things happened, and that isnt what is happening for me. And now, short term plans to get to where I want aren't panning out either. Should I sit here and sulk? Sure, I could. But that isnt going to get me anywhere farther West. Should I sit here and point fingers at others? Sure, I could, but ultimately I am the one responsible for my own place in life. I have to light the fire under my own ass, and get after it. My compass is still pointing in the same place, I just need to plot a new heading to get there. It may not be the most ideal, or expected, but it will be what needs to happen. You make your own happiness, so look at your own internal compass and find True North
